A Direct Solution to Chronic Pain
The nerves in the leg are normally under constant dynamic stress due to walking and weight bearing. In addition, these nerves can be further aggravated by trauma, repetitive injuries and abnormal gait. At Janus, we look to alleviate the portion of the nerve pain stemming from focal entrapments and abnormal biomechanics.
Often, a direct approach is more effective. That’s what we offer at Janus.
- Chronic leg pain treatment
- Chronic ankle pain treatment
- Chronic foot pain treatment

Understanding the Problem
Our standard evaluation begins with a detailed history. This is followed by a thorough physical exam. We may obtain labs or advanced imaging, and perform diagnostic procedures. Based on these findings, we will work with you to formulate treatment plan.
Treatment Options
Treatment options may include biomechanical correction of gait abnormalities, physical therapy, medications, regenerative medicine, or surgical intervention.
Surgical procedures are typically done at an outpatient surgery center under general anesthesia, allowing patients to return home and walk the same day, though mobility will be limited at first. Pain generally decreases over the following weeks, helping you feel more like yourself.

The Role of Underlying Conditions
Many nerve compression issues may be aggravated by underlying conditions such as diabetes and inflammatory conditions. Our treatment does not address baseline pain stemming from these underlying medical conditions. Our goal is to identify and treat any extra layer of pain that may be stemming from focal abnormalities of the lower extremity.
